Welcome!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice.  I provide individual psychotherapy to adults to address an array of issues. For those new to therapy as well as those experienced in it, the process of finding a therapist and initiating therapy can be challenging.  My goal is to help you make an informed choice of therapist and to make the process of starting therapy less mysterious and stressful.

Considering Therapy?

Starting therapy can be daunting, so I will work hard to help you feel safe and comfortable as we begin our work together. I help clients achieve goals such as coping well with distressing emotions and thoughts, improving self-care, and achieving relationship satisfaction. Using relational psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems approaches, I focus on longstanding factors -- such as various aspects of your identity and upbringing -- that contribute to who you are, while providing interventions and insights designed to help you with your current needs and struggles. Diversity of sexual and gender identities are areas of specialty. Read more about my training and experience.

My Approach

My approach to psychotherapy is interactive: I will listen actively to your needs and provide support as well as honest feedback and encouragement to tackle the important issues. I help clients focus their curiosity and attention within themselves, going deeper than can be achieved through narrative and logic alone. Read more about my approach.

Contact Me

I encourage you to take the important step of calling or emailing me to request a free phone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve your goals! I see clients both in person in my Center City, Philadelphia, PA office and via telehealth using Zoom. I participate in PSYPACT which allows me to conduct telehealth sessions with clients who are located in 43 states. I am also licensed in New York.
